Professor Rosalea Hamilton Urges Graduating Class to become Pro-active - Friday, March 12, 2010
A decade into the 21st century, Northern Caribbean University (NCU) ushers a multi-disciplinary group of gifted individuals along their journey to graduation. The 2010 Graduating Class Presentation, under the theme “Triumph over trials; empowered to serve,” unveiled representatives of the over 700 graduands to a jubilant NCU family. The Graduating Class Presentation, held on March 11, marks the beginning of the graduation exercise for graduands from all four NCU campuses island wide.
NCU gives US$10,000.00 to Haiti - Wednesday, March 10, 2010
On Saturday, March 6, 2010, Northern Caribbean University (NCU), at their weekly church service, presented Dr. Jean Josué Pierre, president of the Université Adventiste D’Haïti, with a gift of US$10,000.00 from the university community. The cheque was presented to Dr. Pierre by Dr. Herbert Thompson, president of NCU who shared that this was the first tranche of a gift from the education department of the Inter-American Division (IAD) for their goal of giving to the Education department of the Haitian Union one million United States dollars (US$1,000,000.00).

Northern Caribbean University (NCU) hosted the 2nd Summit for University presidents and Vice-presidents of the Inter-American Division (IAD) Department of Education, at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston, March 3-7. Representatives from universities throughout the division namely: Colombia, Dominica Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela were present.
Adventist Education in Haiti gets help from IAD - Tuesday, March 09, 2010
During the Inter-American Division’s (IAD’s) 2nd Summit of presidents and vice-presidents held in Kingston Jamaica, the IAD’s education department promised the Haitian Union of Seventh-day Adventists a gift of two hundred and fifty thousand US dollars (US$250,000.00). This gift, according to Dr. Moisés Velázquez, education director, is to help in the redevelopment of the education sector of the union in Haiti.
NCU and West Indies Union host 2nd IAD Summit - Tuesday, March 09, 2010
Northern Caribbean University (NCU) and West Indies Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (WIU) hosted the 2nd Summit for University presidents and Vice-presidents of the Inter-American Division (IAD) Department of Education at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston from March 3-7. Host president, Dr. Herbert Thompson in welcoming members of the universities from Colombia , Dominica Republic , Haiti , Mexico , Puerto Rico , Trinidad and Tobago , and Venezuela expressed delight in hosting the 2nd such summit to be held in the IAD.
